A Remarkable Celebration of Heritage, Unity and Culture

The iSintu saMahlabezulu Heritage & Culture Day 2026 was a resounding success, bringing together approximately 300 attendees from across the United Kingdom and beyond to celebrate the rich heritage, language, traditions, and identity of the aMaHlabezulu (AmaNdebele) community under the theme:

"Rooted in Heritage, United in Diverse Communities."

The day featured traditional music, dance, poetry, storytelling, cultural workshops, delicious traditional food, and the Imvunulo Yethu – Pride of aMaHlabezulu Fashion Show, celebrating our culture and inspiring future generations

Special Guests

We were honoured by the attendance of Chief Nhlanhlayamangwe Ndiweni and Councillor Reza-Khan, Manchester City Councillor for Levenshulme, whose support highlighted the importance of preserving our cultural heritage and strengthening community cohesion.

We also extend our sincere thanks to our Mahlabezulu family from Eswatini (Swaziland) and Botswana, and to all the artists from the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Jersey whose outstanding performances made the celebration unforgettable.
