OUR CULTURE: Siyaziqhenya

Isintu Samahlabezulu: Our Living Heritage

Our heritage is a living story that connects us to our ancestors and shapes who we are today. For the AmaNdebele, Amahlabezulu, and our kindred communities, Isintu is more than tradition — it is our identity, unity, and way of life.

Rooted in respect for our ancestors, language, music, dance, and storytelling, Isintu Samahlabezulu honours and preserves the richness of African cultures and languages across generations and the diaspora.

Our Languages, Our Strength

We proudly celebrate and safeguard the languages and cultures of our communities, including:

Ndebele, Xhosa, Nambya, Ndau, Shangaan, Tonga, Kalanga, Tswana, Sotho, Khoisan, and Venda.

Through language preservation and cultural expression, we honour the past, strengthen the present, and empower future generations.

Language Inclusion – Ulimi Luyimpilo

Language is the heartbeat of culture. We actively promote multilingual inclusion to ensure everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

IsiNdebele: Isintu siyaphila. Ulimi lwethu yisithunzi sethu.
Xitsonga: Ririmi i vutomi bya hina.
Xitsonga / Tshivenda / Setswana / Sesotho: Puollo ke boitsebiso.
English: Language is identity.

By embracing linguistic diversity, we build bridges between generations and across communities.
